Hong Kong Trip

We went to Hong Kong with my sister Siew Foong from 2nd June 2009 to 7th June 2009 by free and easy. We stayed at Disney's Hollywood Hotel for 1 night and play 2 days at Hong Kong Disneyland. Jesslyn and Gabriel enjoyed very much in Disneyland. They even had funs with Goofy in the Hotel swimming pool. The parade was interesting as compare to Korea as it was water parade. We almost got wet but it was fun. we also enjoyed the fireworks at night, the view was so nice and amazing. Although it rains during the fireworks but we still didn't move to the shelter area.

On the 3rd day which was also Jesslyn birthday(4/6/09), we had tim sum at Wan Chai. After the tim sum, we went to IFC Mall for shopping as the weather forcast it will rain and have thunderstorm on that day. When we reached there, we found out that the IFC mall is something like our Singapore Suntec City selling branded goods. Nothing to buy(no budget too), therefore we changed our plan to Ngong Ping 360 as the weather was sunny on that day.
We took the New Glass-Bottomed Crystal Cabin which featuring a glass bottom, this exhilarating ride gives an astonishing bird's eye view of the world below the cable car. It was 25 minute cable car ride from Tung Chung to a culturally themed village high atop a mountain plateau on Lantau Island. We visited to the world's tallest, outdoor, seated bronze Buddha which sits serenely atop Ngong Ping plateau amid the spectacular mountain scenery of Lantau Island. We climbed the 268steps to reach the platform where the Buddha was seated.
In the evening, we went to Lei Yue Mun for Seafood Dinner. We choosed from the huge tanks of live fish and bubbling containers of prawns, crabs, scallops, clams, oysters and other seafood vie for attention. We have logster, crabs, prawns, fish and scallops for our dinner and it was quite costly. It cost us HKD1350 plus (S$250.00 plus)

On the 4th day, we went to Ocean Park which featuring rides, exhibits and conservation facilities. There are three attraction areas, which are the Lowland, the Headland and Tai Shue Wan. The three areas are connected by a cable car and an outdoor escalator, which is the second longest in the world. There’s the interactive journey of discovery at the "Giant Panda Adventure" where you will get to know some of the Asia's most precious native animals like giant pandas, red pandas, Chinese giant salamanders and Chinese alligators. We watch the dolphin and sea lion show, it was interesting. In the evening, we went to the visit the Avenue of Stars along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for spectacular harbour views and to catch the magnificent A Symphony of Lights, featuring more than 40 Hong Kong's skyscrapers in a stunning multimedia extravaganza. We had our dinner at Sogo for Japanese Rahman, the Rahman was delicious.

On the 5th day, we went to have Tim Sum at Wan Chai again. After the Tim Sum, we went to the peak via the peak tram. Pulled by steel cables, the tram climbs 373 metres (about 1,200 feet). It's so steep that the buildings you pass look like they're leaning at a 45°angle! We go up to the Peak Tower Sky Terrace for the fabulous views over the harbour.
We also visited Madame Tussauds Hong Kong which is offering visitors an unprecedented hands-on multimedia experience at its celebrity waxworks museum. The world-famous attraction now features more than 100 incredible wax likenesses of stars, world leaders and sports heroes displayed in five totally interactive themed settings that are spread over three floors within the completely refurbished Peak Tower complex. It's an amazing experience like no other! We took a lot of pictures...

On the 6th day which was also the last day in Hong Kong, we took the Airport Express to Hong Kong Airport. We had Tim Sum again in the airport after we check in. The Tim Sum at the airport was much delicious than the one at Wan Chai. Must try again if we visit Hong Kong again.
